53 Palestinian Women, Including Minors and Mothers, Held in Israeli Custody

Ramallah: Around 53 Palestinian women, including minors and mothers, are currently held in Israeli custody, as reported by the Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs. The Commission highlights the difficult conditions faced by these detainees and their deprivation of basic human rights.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Commission revealed that some of the female prisoners have been re-arrested following their release in a recent prisoner exchange deal. Of the 53 detained women, 42 are from the West Bank, five from within the 1948 territories, four from Jerusalem, and two from the Gaza Strip.
