Ramallah: Israeli forces rounded up 40 Palestinians, including a woman, children and former prisoners, during raids across the occupied West Bank on Saturday, the Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Authority and the Palestinian Prisoners Club said. They said in a joint statement that the army staged raids overnight and early today across Palestinian towns and villages of the West Bank, amid reports of widespread assaults and threats against detainees and their families, vandalism and property damage. The latest detentions brought to more than 10,000 the total number of arrests in the West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem, in a campaign which has been intensified since the war on Gaza began on October 7.
