33rd Arab Summit/ Iraqi President Considers Israeli Aggression on Gaza Genocide by All Standards
Iraqi President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid considered the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip for seven months a genocide by all standards, reiterating Iraq’s stance in support of the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people in their efforts to gain their freedom and establish their independent state on the 1967 borders.
In his speech before the 33rd Arab Summit, held in Manama, Bahrain, Rashid said that they meet today in conjunction with the repercussions of the Israeli aggression against Gaza. He indicated that what the occupation is doing is considered genocide by all standards.
He urged all conflicting parties in Sudan to dialogue to resolve the crisis, expressing Iraq’s full support for Lebanon to reach political and economic stability, and for any steps that enable the Yemeni people to reach permanent stability.
The Iraqi President expressed Baghdad’s rejection of the violations affecting its territory, or using them to attack others, urging the international community to help countries a
ffected by climate change, of which Iraq is one of them.
