Qatar Museums Presents Diverse Summer Programs for Children

Qatar Museums will host various summer programs for children, offering a diverse range of engaging and educational activities across museums in Qatar. The programs will be presented by five museums and the recently opened AI Digital Centre, and will promote learning, creativity, and well-being, while providing an immersive experience for children. The Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) will present the program “Exploring the Influence of Water”, inviting children aged 8 12 to embark on a unique and fun exploration of personal wellbeing. The program will include various artistic workshops and library sessions, revolving around the importance and influence of water. Children will leave with an improved understanding of overall health and wellness, particularly the pivotal role that water plays in nurturing their well-being. Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum (QOSM) will focus on the theme of the Olympics and Mental Health, and will offer children an exciting opportunity to engage in diverse physical activities, which allow them to discover their personal capabilities, develop essential skills to make informed, healthy choices, enhance emotional awareness, and nurture their well-being. The program will begin with a guided tour of the museums extensive collection, offering participants the opportunity to learn about the history of sports, the Olympic Games, and iconic world-renowned athletes, followed by activities such as the Golden Medal Hunt, fun and fitness in collaboration with the Hockey Federation, and engaging games that promote physical and mental health. The National Museum of Qatar (NMOQ) will host its summer program “Painting your Thoughts”, welcoming children aged 8 12 to learn about well-being and self-expression through art. The Chief of Staff of the Army discusses with the NATO mission commander the development of the capabilities of the Iraqi army

The Army Chief of Staff, General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, met today, Sunday, the Commander of the NATO mission in Iraq, General (Jose Antonio) and his accompanying delegation. The meeting discussed, according to a statement by the Ministry of Defense, aspects of cooperation between the two sides in the field of training and communications, as well as the mission’s advisors giving a briefing on the participation in the implementation of the Noble Skywave exercise (Heavenly Waves), which aims to develop the capabilities of communications officers and employees in the use of modern long-range wireless devices with the participation of 180 teams from 13 countries, as it is considered a new experience to secure communication over very long distances for all units and formations of the Iraqi army. Al-Sudani chairs a meeting of the Supreme Committee for Armament

The Prime Minister, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, chaired today, Sunday, the first meeting of the Supreme Committee for Armaments. During the meeting, they discussed drawing up the general policy for arming the armed forces in a way that rises to the challenges facing the country, and discussing the need for each security and military formation of weapons and materiel, as well as discussing the maximum use of the capabilities of the Military Industrialization Authority. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces directed the development of joint plans between the Military Industrialization Authority and the security ministries, concerned with the military needs of weapons and materiel, and stressed the importance of the Military Industrialization Authority developing all security ministries with a full vision of their capabilities, and what they are able to provide. He also directed the security ministries to present their needs to the Military Industrialization Authority so that it prepares its production plans on the basis of these needs, and to assure the ministries and security agencies to secure their needs, through contracting directly with the Military Industrialization Authority. The meeting also witnessed a discussion of the establishment of new camps for the various security formations, and in this regard, he directed the formation of a joint committee comprising the ministries and concerned authorities to identify lands outside the cities to establish these camps.
