The Federal Police Command announced today, Friday, the arrest of 15 accused and the seizure of unlicensed weapons in Baghdad and Babylon. It said in a statement: 'The security effort of the units of the mechanized division in the Federal Police, with the support of the intelligence effort and the attached units, resulted in the arrest of (15) defendants in accordance with the legal articles (threat, impersonation, quarrel, violation of residency affairs, violation of storing petroleum products) in the area of (Martyrs of Al-Bayaa) in Baghdad and a number of areas of Babylon Governorate.' The statement added, 'The units of the Sixth Brigade of the Federal Police were able to carry out an inspection campaign against unlicensed weapons in the areas of (Dur al-Salam, Al-Muwasalat, and Al-Jihad neighborhood) in Baghdad, which resulted in the seizure of two Kalashnikov rifles, 56 rounds of ammunition, two pistols, and 6 magazines.'
