11 Laborers Killed in Landmine Blast Northwest Pakistan
At least 11 laborers have been killed and two others injured in a landmine blast in Khyber Pakhtunkh, northwest Pakistan.
Radio Pakistan reported Sunday quoting the local authorities as saying that the blast occurred when a vehicle hit a land mine in Gulmir Kot area of North Waziristan district.
Meanwhile, Pakistan’s caretaker prime minister Anwaar ul Haq has strongly condemned the incident and expressed solidarity with the affected families.
Pakistani forces have been continuing their efforts for years to eliminate armed groups who are fortifying by its mountainous borders, and from time to time launching attacks against security forces and civilians.
