Woman Killed by Israeli Forces in Jenin

Jenin: A Palestinian elderly woman from Jenin was killed on Tuesday by Israeli forces, local sources confirmed.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Red Crescent Society reported that its crews transferred a slain Palestinian woman aged 60, who was killed by Israeli occupation bullets from the Jalameh military checkpoint to Jenin Governmental Hospital. Medical sources at the hospital confirmed the presence of the slain woman in the emergency room, having been transferred from the Jalameh checkpoint.

The incident occurred as Israeli occupation forces stormed the eastern neighborhood at dawn, surrounding a house and attacking it with Energa shells. During this operation, a young man was injured, and ambulance crews were reportedly prevented from transporting him.

Additionally, occupation soldiers surrounded a building in Khallet al-Sawha near Jenin camp, forced its residents to leave, detained them in the street, and subjected them to interrogation. On Haifa Street, west of the city, the forces surrounded the Lavender Hall and fired Energa shells at it, though it remains unclear if anyone was inside at the time.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on the city of Jenin and its camp has now entered its 50th day. To date, the conflict has resulted in the deaths of 31 Palestinians and caused injuries to dozens more.
