Gaza City: The World Food Programme (WFP) warned on Sunday that Palestinian families in the Gaza Strip remain on the brink of starvation, underscoring the urgent need for a continuous, daily, and unhindered flow of humanitarian aid into the besieged enclave.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the UN agency highlighted in a post on its official account on X that the humanitarian and relief crisis in Gaza has reached catastrophic levels, particularly since Israel sealed off all crossings on March 2. The WFP emphasized the necessity of allowing aid to enter Gaza as the first step in addressing the crisis.
The WFP further stressed the importance of a sustained and daily flow of aid trucks, as well as the need for the ability to safely and promptly move and distribute aid within Gaza. This call to action reflects the dire conditions faced by residents in the region and the critical nature of international assistance to prevent further escalation of the crisis.
