West Bank: Israeli forces detained at least 22 people, including former detainees, in the occupied West Bank during the last 24 hours.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Detainees and Ex-Detainees Commission and the Palestinian Prisoner's Society stated in a joint report that the detention operations were concentrated in the city of Hebron, as well as in Tulkarm, Ramallah, Bethlehem, and Tubas. These operations were accompanied by widespread raids and acts of abuse, including assaults and threats against detainees and their families. Additionally, there was significant vandalism and destruction of citizens' homes.
The joint statement highlighted that the occupation forces continue to conduct field investigations involving dozens of citizens in several towns. Many of these citizens are detained for hours before being released.
The Palestinian Prisoner's Society and the Commission confirmed that since October 7th, the total number of Palestinians detained in the occupied West Bank has exceeded 11,000. This includes individuals detained from their homes, at military checkpoints, those who surrendered under pressure, and those taken hostage.
