Ramallah: Vice President of the State of Palestine and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Hussein Al-Sheikh, engaged in a phone conversation with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty to discuss the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the urgent efforts needed to secure a ceasefire.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, during the call, Al-Sheikh presented the Palestinian position and highlighted the severe humanitarian situation facing the Palestinian population. He emphasized the necessity for increased international pressure to immediately halt the Israeli military actions and facilitate the delivery of essential humanitarian aid.
The Vice President acknowledged Egypt's crucial role, along with Qatar and the United States, in the mediation process. He conveyed his gratitude for Cairo's persistent efforts to achieve a ceasefire, prevent further loss of life, and promote security and stability in the region.
