Post: Vice President Hussein al-Sheikh Meets with Chinese Ambassador to Discuss Bilateral Relations

Gaza: Vice President and Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Hussein al-Sheikh, received Ambassador Sun Chen, Director of the Office of the People's Republic of China to the State of Palestine, on Monday. The meeting marked Ambassador Sun's recent assumption of his duties in Palestine.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, al-Sheikh highlighted the deep historical ties between the State of Palestine and the People's Republic of China. He emphasized the strong relations between the two nations, built on mutual respect and cooperation.

During the meeting, al-Sheikh updated the Chinese Ambassador on the latest political and security developments in the region. He discussed the escalating colonist attacks in the West Bank, the ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip, and the continued withholding of Palestinian tax revenues, which has worsened the economic and social crisis faced by the Palestinian people.

Al-Sheikh underscored the importance of maintaining coordination and cooperation with China. He expressed his appreciation for China's supportive stance on Palestinian rights and its efforts to promote security, stability, and a just peace in accordance with international law.
