Ramallah: Vice President and Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Hussein al-Sheikh, has expressed serious concerns that the intense Israeli campaign against UNRWA institutions in Palestine could disrupt their essential humanitarian services for significant sections of the Palestinian populace. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, al-Sheikh highlighted the importance of international support, acknowledging the stances of several countries that have openly condemned Israel's actions and called for an immediate cessation. He urged additional allied nations to adopt firm positions and measures against Israel, citing ongoing issues such as demolition, destruction, settler terrorism, fund confiscation, settlement expansion, land confiscation, and prisoner mistreatment. These actions, he noted, are in direct violation of international norms and laws, as well as the resolutions of legitimate international bodies and human rights organizations . Al-Sheikh urged the global community to vocally oppose the Israeli occupation, emphasizing that the time has come to end any leniency or favoritism towards the ongoing occupation, which he described as defying established international standards.
