Cairo: Vice President and Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Hussein al-Sheikh, held separate meetings in the Egyptian capital with Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty and Head of Egypt's General Intelligence Service (GIS), Hassan Rashad. The discussions also included the Head of the Palestinian General Intelligence Service, Major General Majid Faraj.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the meetings provided a platform for al-Sheikh to update the Egyptian officials on the latest developments concerning the Palestinian cause. The discussions centered on strategies to consolidate stability across the Palestinian Territory and advance the transition to the second phase of US President Donald Trump's plan. The agenda also included relevant UN Security Council resolutions and enhancing coordination to address the challenges facing Palestine and the region.
