Gaza: The Commissioner-General of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), Philippe Lazzarini, said that famine has become the latest calamity to befall the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, in statements posted on X, Lazzarini described the situation in Gaza as "hell is manifesting itself in all its forms in Gaza," stressing that the global slogan "never again" has been deliberately repeated and that it "will continue to haunt the world." He underscored that "denial is the most hideous form of dehumanization." Lazzarini called on the Israeli occupation government to stop promoting and spreading misleading narratives and allow humanitarian organizations to deliver aid without restrictions. He further called for granting international journalists to cover the situation independently from within Gaza. He said, "Every hour that passes has a price."
