Gaza city: The United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) has issued an urgent plea for the evacuation of at least 25 infants from incubators in Gaza City. These infants are in critical need of relocation to ensure their survival following the recent shelling of Al-Helou Hospital by Israeli forces. The hospital, which is currently housing nearly half of these vulnerable infants, was targeted overnight, escalating the situation's urgency.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, medical sources in the Gaza Strip reported that Israeli tanks have surrounded the hospital. Approximately 12 infants are currently in incubators within the facility, which remains under continuous shelling. The precarious security situation poses a significant risk to the lives of these infants, necessitating immediate international intervention to facilitate their safe evacuation and care.
