Post: UN Voices Alarm Over Israel’s Military Practices in West Bank

Geneva: The United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Trk has voiced his alarm over Israel's military practices in the occupied West Bank.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Trk expressed concern over the use of military weapons and tactics, including tanks and airstrikes, against Palestinians. He highlighted issues such as the destruction and emptying of refugee camps, the expansion of illegal settlements, severe restrictions on movement, and the displacement of tens of thousands of people.

Trk emphasized that Israel's unilateral actions and threats of annexation in the West Bank, which he noted as violations of international law, must come to an end. His remarks were made during the 58th session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva.
