United nations: The United Nations asserted that, after weeks of destruction and hardship, it has become evident that there is no military solution to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, a UN statement issued on Monday detailed that spokesperson St©phane Dujarric acknowledged that while no agreement was reached during the talks hosted by Pakistan between the United States and Iran in Islamabad, the discussions themselves demonstrated a serious commitment by both sides. This engagement is seen as a positive and meaningful step toward resuming dialogue.
Dujarric explained that considering the significant differences between the parties, an agreement cannot be achieved overnight. He emphasized that the UN Secretary-General urges the continuation of talks in a constructive spirit aimed at reaching an agreement.
The spokesperson also highlighted the necessity of maintaining a full ceasefire and stopping all violations. He added that all parties involved in the conflict must respect freedom of navigation, specifically in the Strait of Hormuz, as per international law.
