New York: The United Nations announced that Israel has been obstructing all forms of aid from reaching the Gaza Strip for a period of 50 days, resulting in a significant impact on the region’s residents.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, UN Spokesperson St©phane Dujarric conveyed this information during a press conference at the UN headquarters. Dujarric noted that the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has verified that no food, fuel, medicine, or essential supplies have been allowed into Gaza during this time.
Dujarric stated that food stocks in Gaza have dangerously declined, and essential medical supplies, including medicines and vaccines, are nearly depleted. He highlighted the suffering of both children and adults facing hunger, while the health system in Gaza is nearing collapse.
Furthermore, he reported that hundreds of thousands of individuals have been displaced, with an increase in Israeli attacks on humanitarian and health workers in the region.
