Gaza: The UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Palestine, Francesca Albanese, has accused Israel of concealing evidence related to the killing of paramedics in Rafah. Albanese stated that the ongoing situation in Gaza should be characterized not as a war but as a genocide, highlighting the absence of protection for Palestinian lives.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Albanese expressed her concerns in a post on X, emphasizing that evidence regarding the deaths of paramedics in Rafah has been obscured. She asserted that the Israeli army operates without restrictions or controls in its actions against Palestinians.
Albanese further criticized Western leaders for their stance, accusing them of prioritizing diplomatic relations with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the protection of international law and Palestinian civilians. She called on the international community to recognize the violation of freedoms, urging for a movement against regimes that infringe on personal liberties and endanger civilians.
