London: The British Foreign Office has urged the Israeli occupation authorities to cease the construction of colonies in the West Bank, including any plans for their expansion. This call was made in response to ongoing developments in the region that have raised international concern. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the ministry issued a statement on Tuesday emphasizing that the annexation of the West Bank by Israeli occupation forces cannot be permitted. It urged the occupation authorities to immediately stop the construction of illegal colonies and to implement decisive measures to address the violence perpetrated by colonists. The statement reiterated the necessity of pursuing a two-state solution, which it described as the only viable path to achieving lasting peace in the region. The British government continues to advocate for diplomatic efforts to resolve the longstanding conflict between Israelis and Palestinians through mutually agreed-upon terms.
