Hebron: A two-year-old Palestinian girl was injured and lost consciousness on Saturday evening after being assaulted by an Israeli colonist in Hebron, in the southern occupied West Bank.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, local and medical sources reported that the child, identified as Sarah Amir Dana, suffered head bruises and fainted after being attacked by an armed Israeli colonist. The incident occurred while she was walking with her mother near an Israeli military checkpoint at the entrance to Al-Shuhada Street in the Old City of Hebron.
Eyewitnesses stated that the assault happened as a group of heavily armed Israeli colonists entered the area. One of them, estimated to be in his 40s, kicked the young girl in the head, causing her to collapse and lose consciousness. The colonists were accompanied and protected by Israeli occupation soldiers during the incident.
The child was transported to a hospital in Hebron by Palestinian Red Crescent paramedics. Her condition was described as moderate.
