Two Previously Damaged Buildings Collapse in Gaza City Amid Heavy Rainfall

Gaza city: Two buildings previously damaged by Israeli drone strikes collapsed in Gaza City on Saturday morning due to the latest low-pressure weather system, which brought heavy rainfall. Rescue teams evacuated residents of the seven-story Al-Awda 6 tower in the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood, southwest of Gaza City, after cracks appeared and the top four floors collapsed. No injuries were reported.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, in a related incident, a building belonging to the Mughni family collapsed in the Nasr neighborhood of Gaza City, also without any reported casualties.

Since the beginning of the month, successive weather depressions accompanied by heavy rain and strong winds have caused the collapse of homes and residential buildings previously damaged by Israeli airstrikes. These collapses have resulted in deaths and injuries among Palestinians.
