Ramallah: Two Palestinian citizens were injured on Saturday evening during an attack by Israeli colonists between the village of Rammun and the town of Deir Dibwan, east of Ramallah, according to local sources.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the head of the Rammun Village Council, Ibrahim Al-Khatib, reported that armed colonists blocked the road connecting Rammun and Deir Dibwan and assaulted the two individuals. One of the victims sustained head injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment, while the other suffered from bruises.
Al-Khatib further stated that Israeli occupation forces entered the village concurrently with the colonist attack, utilizing stun grenades and tear gas. Despite the aggressive actions, there were no reported arrests or additional injuries.
The violence by Israeli colonists against Palestinians has been increasing across the occupied West Bank in recent years. Incidents include assaults on civilians, road blockages, arson attacks, and the destruction of homes and farmland.
These attacks often occur in the presence of Israeli forces or are followed by military raids on Palestinian communities, with perpetrators seldom facing accountability.
