Ramallah: Two Palestinian citizens were injured by live ammunition fired by Israeli occupation forces on Monday night near the town of Sinjil, north of Ramallah. The incident has raised concerns over the ongoing tensions in the region.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) reported that Israeli forces prevented its medical crews from reaching the injured near the Sinjil junction. This action has been seen as a significant impediment to providing necessary medical assistance to those affected.
Local sources reported that the Israeli army is withholding the wounded individuals and preventing residents and Palestinian ambulance crews from approaching the area. The situation remains tense as access to the injured continues to be restricted.
A large Israeli military force stormed the town, raiding and searching several homes and commercial shops. This operation has added to the already heightened tensions in the area, with residents expressing concerns over their safety and the disruption of daily life.
