Post: Two Palestinian Detainees in Megiddo Prison Denied Critical Medical Care

Ramallah: The Palestinian Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs revealed in a report on Tuesday, following a visit from its lawyers, the critical medical health condition of two prisoners held in Israel's Megiddo prison.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Adam Abu al-Hassan, 21, from Beit Ur al-Tahta in Ramallah, suffers from leukemia and requires daily medication. He has experienced severe diarrhea for a year, resulting in a significant vitamin deficiency and a weight loss of approximately 25 kilograms. Abu al-Hassan has been detained since May 20, 2024, and remains in custody without adequate medical attention.

Meanwhile, Habib Allah Sabatin, 17, from Husan, Bethlehem, is under administrative detention and suffers from sinusitis, urgently requiring a special inhaler. Sabatin also suffers from recurring sciatica, which necessitates treatment, and has toothaches due to a broken brace.

The report also provided an update on Muhammad Hamdan, 17, from the town of Qaffin/Tulkarm, who was arrested on January 29, 2025. He is currently in good health, and his condition is stable.
