Khan Younis: Two civilians were killed on Tuesday evening in Israeli bombing on the city of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, according to WAFA correspondent. The occupation forces bombed a tent sheltering displaced civilians in the Asdaa area, northwest of the city, resulting in the deaths of two civilians and injuries to others.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Israeli artillery also shelled the town of al-Qarara, northeast of Khan Younis, and Israeli fighter jets conducted a strike targeting a house of the Qudeih family near Al-Awda School in Abasan Al-Kabira town, east of the city. Israel unilaterally ended the Gaza ceasefire agreement and resumed its aggression on the Strip, carrying out a wave of airstrikes that have killed hundreds of Palestinians.
The death toll has reached at least 3,901 with 11,088 others wounded, based on medical sources. In the last 24 hours alone, 79 slain Palestinians and 163 casualties were admitted to Gaza hospitals. The renewed aggression has exacerbated concerns over the humanitarian situation in the Strip, with ongoing siege and restrictions on medical and humanitarian aid entry.
Since October 2023, Israel's military actions in the Strip have resulted in the deaths of 54,056 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuries to 123,129 others. Additionally, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes. The aggression has led to the displacement of nearly two million people from the Gaza Strip, with the majority forced into the crowded city of Rafah near the Egyptian border, marking Palestine's largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
