Twenty Families Dismantle Dwellings Near Jericho After Colonist Attacks

Jericho: Twenty Palestinian families were compelled to dismantle their dwellings in the Shallal al-Auja community north of Jericho after facing colonist attacks.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the families, belonging to the Az-Zayed clan, were left with no option but to dismantle their homes and livestock barns. This decision followed a significant increase in attacks by Israeli colonists on Bedouin communities within the Jordan Valley.

The organisation reported that these families have been enduring a series of aggressive actions, including threats, restrictions on accessing pastures, and vandalism of property.

The organisation highlighted that these attacks are part of a broader strategy aimed at displacing indigenous Palestinians from the Jordan Valley. The intention behind this scheme is to take over the land for the expansion of colonial settlements.
