Türkiye Rejects Allegations on Palestine Policy, Asserts Support for Justice and Gaza

Ankara: Türkiye's Foreign Ministry has firmly rejected recent allegations questioning its stance on Palestine, calling them baseless and politically motivated attempts to distort facts and mislead public opinion. In a statement released on Sunday, the ministry stated that the claims recently raised regarding the country's Palestine policies are in no way compatible with the truth. It emphasized rejecting efforts aimed at discrediting Türkiye's support for the Palestinian people through political agendas and misinformation.

According to TRTworld.com, Türkiye has taken steps to prevent all military-related sales to Israel, and it has led international efforts to halt arms transfers to Israel. The initiative at the United Nations, supported by 52 countries, is part of Türkiye's broader strategy to implement necessary precautions ensuring Palestinians are not adversely affected. The ministry has highlighted its strongest stance against genocide in Gaza and emphasized its ongoing support for Palestinian rights.

Türkiye has also been actively monitoring the case of the Madleen ship, condemning Israel's illegal intervention in international waters. Diplomatic efforts were undertaken to secure the release of citizens on board. Additionally, Türkiye reaffirmed its opposition to plans involving the forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza, supporting the joint Arab League-Organization of Islamic Cooperation plan for Gaza's reconstruction and other efforts to counter such displacement schemes.

On the legal front, Türkiye is one of 13 countries formally participating in the genocide case against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ). It has contributed to two separate advisory proceedings at the court. Türkiye continues to pursue justice for Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, who was killed by Israeli forces, and has shown diplomatic support after the release of Turkish national Rumeysa Ozturk, detained by US immigration authorities.

Türkiye's Foreign Ministry stated that it will not allow any pressure or defamation campaign to undermine its stance. The ministry affirmed that the fight for justice, rooted in the nation's conscience, will continue uncompromisingly in line with international law and human rights.
