Gaza: Three Palestinians were killed and others wounded on Monday evening in a series of Israeli airstrikes targeting multiple areas across the Gaza Strip.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, local sources reported that two civilians were killed and several others injured after Israeli warplanes struck a tent sheltering displaced people in the Al-Qadisiyah area west of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza. In another incident in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza, a woman named Ibtisam Khaled Dawwas was shot and killed by an Israeli sniper inside her home in the Beshara neighborhood.
Sources also reported casualties among members of the Shaath family after their home was targeted near the Rafah garage area in central Khan Yunis. Ambulance crews faced significant challenges reaching the site due to the continued Israeli shelling.
The ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has resulted in the deaths of 59,029 people, mostly children and women, and injuries to 142,135 others. This figure remains incomplete as many victims are still trapped under rubble and in the streets, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue teams due to the relentless shelling and massive amount of debris.
