Ramallah: Three Palestinian residents were injured on Friday evening during a renewed colonists’ attack on the town of Sinjil, north of Ramallah, according to a local official.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency – WAFA, Mutaz Tawafsha, head of Sinjil municipality, stated that residents of the town of Sinjil and the nearby Al Mazra’a ash Sharqiya village fended off an attack by dozens of colonists against the southern area of Jabal al-Batin.
The Palestine Red Crescent reported that two residents were hospitalized with injuries sustained during the colonists’ attack. Locals managed to rescue a young man whom colonists had attempted to abduct after assaulting him.
Earlier in the day, colonists launched an attack against the town, damaging several vehicles by smashing windows and slashing tires, including one belonging to the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission and another belonging to a foreign media organization.
In this context, the villagers in both areas, together with the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, successfully dismantled a recently established colonial outpost on Palestinian residents’ land in the area. Residents managed to burn down and demolish the pastoral outpost set up by the colonists to the west of the town.
