The Ministry of Water Resources revealed the agenda of the files that will be at the forefront of discussions on the upcoming visit of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to Iraq tomorrow, Monday. Minister of Water Resources Aoun Dhiab said. In a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency (NINA), 'We are counting a lot on the visit of Turkish President Erdogan to Iraq tomorrow, Monday, and the water file will be strongly present in this visit, as well as other files shared with neighboring Turkey, including economic, commercial, and security files. He added, "This visit is highly relied upon to achieve positive results that serve Iraq and Turkey together, especially with Turkey's very large interests in Iraq. This meeting will achieve renewed interests for neighboring Turkey, and there are also important Iraqi interests, the first of which is the water file, where we seek, as has been proven in all cases, agreements, to obtain a fair and equitable share of the waters of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers.' The Minister of Water Resources stressed, 'Our goal is to end the water issue clearly, and to establish a future stage for developing relations with neighboring Turkey and with other countries.'
