Baghdad: The Minister of Interior, Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, discussed with the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Iraq, Tariq Abdullah Al-Faraj, securing the common border and combating drugs. The Ministry of Interior said in a statement, 'Minister of Interior Abdul Amir Al-Shammari met, in his office today, with the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Iraq, Tariq Abdullah Al-Faraj,' indicating that 'during the meeting, cooperation and coordination between the two brotherly countries were discussed in the security fields with regard to the work of the Ministry of Interior.' It added, "It was stressed the need to make more efforts to reach greater cooperation in the field of securing common borders, combating drugs, psychotropic substances, organized crime, and exchanging information, as well as in the field of training," pointing to "discussing the upcoming visit by the Minister of Interior to the State of Kuwait next July."
