Telecommunications Authority Reports Renewed Disruption of Phone and Internet Services in Gaza

Gaza: The Palestinian Telecommunications Regulatory Authority has announced a renewed disruption of fixed-line telephone and internet services in the central and southern Gaza Strip. This disruption is attributed to a new outage on one of the main network routes, a consequence of the ongoing aggression in the region.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the authority issued a press statement on Tuesday, confirming its active monitoring of the situation alongside telecommunications service providers. The authority is committed to continuously assessing the technical status to bolster efforts aimed at restoring services as promptly as possible.

Since the onset of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, there have been multiple disruptions of telecommunications and internet services. These interruptions have affected the entire Strip or significant portions of it, largely due to intensive Israeli bombardment or fuel shortages necessary for operating power generators. The latest service outage was reported at the end of last week.
