Post: Suffocation Cases Arise Amid Israeli Assault on Olive Harvesters Near Jerusalem

Jerusalem:Several citizens experienced suffocation after Israeli occupation forces launched tear gas canisters and sound grenades at them on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred as the individuals attempted to access their agricultural lands for olive harvesting in Beit Anan, northwest of Jerusalem.

According to Palestine news & Information Agency – WAFA – English, the occupation forces targeted dozens of citizens in the Al-Salaqat and Al-Buraij areas, located on the town's outskirts, with tear gas and sound grenades. This action prevented the citizens from reaching their lands to harvest olives.

Local sources revealed that colonists were also present in the area, where they assaulted the citizens and obstructed their olive harvesting efforts, all under the protection of the occupation forces. The ongoing Israeli assaults against Palestinian farmers during the olive harvest season include blocking access to lands, physical attacks, tree damage, and harvest theft.
