State of Palestine Welcomes UN Resolution on Gaza, Ready to Support Implementation

Ramallah: The State of Palestine has welcomed the adoption of a United Nations Security Council resolution on Gaza, which was drafted by the United States. This resolution emphasizes the establishment of a permanent and comprehensive ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, ensures the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian assistance, and supports the Palestinian people's right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the State of Palestine has highlighted the urgent necessity of implementing this resolution immediately. The aim is to restore normalcy, protect the population of the Gaza Strip, prevent displacement, secure the full withdrawal of occupying forces, facilitate reconstruction, halt the undermining of the two-state solution, and prevent annexation.

The State of Palestine has expressed its full readiness to collaborate with the U.S. Administration, members of the Security Council, Arab and Islamic states, the European Union and its member states, the United Nations, and all parties of the international coalition and partners in the New York Declaration. The goal is to ensure the implementation of this resolution in a way that alleviates the suffering of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, and East Jerusalem, and advances the political path leading to peace, security, and stability between Palestinians and Israelis, based on the two-state solution grounded in international law and international legitimacy.

Furthermore, the State of Palestine has reiterated its readiness to assume full responsibilities in the Gaza Strip, within the framework of unity of land, people, and institutions, recognizing the Strip as an integral part of the State of Palestine.

The State of Palestine has also expressed gratitude to all countries willing to work with it and the relevant parties to support Palestinian efforts toward ending the occupation and achieving freedom and independence. This commitment is based on advancing a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian question, aiming to bring peace, stability, and security to the region and the world at large.
