Beijing: Spanish Prime Minister Pedro S¡nchez stated that Israel is the only country violating international law in the Middle East. In a press statement today, during his current visit to the People's Republic of China, he affirmed that his country will continue to stand on the right side of history and with what it considers just, legitimate, and legal.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, S¡nchez emphasized that international law is being eroded, and those who raise their voices against countries that violate international law are threatened. He remarked on being threatened because of speaking against governments that violate international law.
The Spanish Prime Minister further expressed support for justice and the principle that there should be no impunity for those who commit genocide, referring to the situation in Gaza and expressing hope that similar events would not be repeated in Lebanon. He stressed the need to rebuild the international system on the basis of legitimacy, not impunity.
During his visit, S¡nchez met with Chinese President Xi Jinping in Beijing, where the two leaders pledged to strengthen cooperation and maintain global peace and development.
