Madrid: Spain has joined four other countries in threatening to withdraw from the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest if Israel participates, in protest against its actions in the Gaza Strip, which have been ongoing for nearly two years.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Spanish television reported that Spain has decided to withdraw from the Eurovision Music Festival if Israel participates. This decision aligns Spain with the Netherlands, Ireland, Slovenia, and Iceland, all of which have already expressed similar intentions a few days ago concerning the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest.
