Cairo: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi reaffirmed Egypt's firm position that the two-state solution is the only way to achieve lasting peace and stability in the Middle East. This came during his meeting today, Thursday, with his South Korean counterpart, President Lee Jae-myung.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, a statement issued by Egyptian Presidency spokesperson Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy highlighted the discussions between the two leaders. The meeting reviewed Egypt's efforts to implement the ceasefire agreement in Gaza and the related UN Security Council resolution.
The South Korean president praised Egypt's pivotal role in promoting peace and supporting stability in the Middle East. He particularly commended President Sisi's efforts that led to ending the war in the Gaza Strip and hosting the Sharm el-Sheikh Peace Summit. President Lee Jae-myung affirmed his country's support for the two-state solution and for the related Egyptian efforts.
