Silwan Sports Club Board Member and Attorney Taken to Al-Maskobiya

Jerusalem: Israeli forces detained Amin Maragha, a board member of Silwan Sports Club, after stopping his vehicle and took him to the Russian Compound interrogation center known as Al-Maskobiya.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Israeli forces also detained attorney Amir Maragha while he was passing through the Ras al-Amud neighborhood in the town of Silwan, south of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and took him to Al-Maskobiya.

For years, Jerusalem has been the target of a campaign of arrests by Israeli authorities. The campaign has affected hundreds each year and has included figures, athletes, activists and journalists.

The detentions form part of an effort to suppress mobilization in the city. Detainees are frequently subjected to interrogations and to administrative detention without charge or trial in Israeli prisons.

Both Amin Maragha and Amir Maragha were taken to Al-Maskobiya for interrogation following their detentions in Silwan. The report was provided by Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA.
