Gaza: The overall Industrial Production Index (IPI) in Palestine reached 74.29 during June 2025, with a sharp decrease of 9.41% compared to May 2025, said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) today.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the IPI for June 2025 decreased due to the sharp decrease in the activities of the Manufacturing Industry by 11.38%, which had a share of 87.89% of the total industry. Additionally, the activities of Water Supply, Sewerage, Waste Management, and Remediation decreased by 10.96%, accounting for 1.84% of the total industry, and the activities of Mining and Quarrying decreased by 4.51%, with a share of 2.89% of the total industry.
The activities of Electricity, Gas, Steam, and Air Conditioning Supply increased sharply by 6.81%, which had a share of 7.38% of the total industry. Due to the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, all working institutions in the industrial production were not engaged in any production activity in the Gaza Strip for June 2025.
