Several Suffocate in Israeli Army Raid South of Nablus

Nablus: Several Palestinians Monday evening in an Israeli army raid in the Beita town, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to local sources.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Israeli occupying forces stormed the town and fired volleys of tear gas canisters toward the villagers, triggering confrontations and causing several villagers to suffocate. The casualties received treatment at the scene.

The occupation forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost daily across the West Bank, citing the search for 'wanted' Palestinians as the reason, which often leads to clashes with residents. These raids are conducted without requiring a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses, in accordance with its extensive powers.

Under Israeli military law, army commanders possess complete executive, legislative, and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians residing in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
