Nablus: Several Palestinians were reported to have suffocated during an Israeli army raid in the towns of Odala and Osarin, located south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus. Local sources confirmed the incident on Wednesday evening.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Israeli occupation forces stormed the towns and launched intensive gunfire along with tear gas canisters. This action resulted in several Palestinians suffering from excessive tear gas inhalation.
The occupation forces carry out frequent raids on Palestinian houses across the West Bank, nearly on a daily basis. These operations are conducted under the pretext of searching for 'wanted' Palestinians and often lead to clashes with local residents.
These raids occur without the need for a search warrant, as the military exercises its broad and arbitrary powers. Under Israeli military law, army commanders have full executive, legislative, and judicial control over the 3 million Palestinians residing in the West Bank, leaving the Palestinian population without a voice in the exercise of this authority.
