Gaza City: Several civilians were killed and others were injured today following an airstrike by Israeli warplanes targeting a home in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Israeli artillery also fired shells and opened fire on homes in the northern parts of Rafah, located in the southern Gaza Strip. Additionally, reports indicate that a large number of homes in Beit Hanoun, in the northern region of the Gaza Strip, were set ablaze by Israeli occupation forces.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 2023 has resulted in at least 46,584 documented Palestinian fatalities, with over 109,731 others injured. Thousands of victims are feared trapped under rubble, inaccessible to emergency and civil defense teams due to Israeli attacks.
Israel's attacks continue despite calls from the UN Security Council for an immediate ceasefire and directives from the International Court of Justice urging measures to prevent further conflict and alleviate the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
