Nablus: Colonists attacked Palestinian farmers today while they were harvesting olives in the town of Aqraba, south of Nablus. Local sources reported that the colonists attacked the farmers in the Al-Amayir area, south of the town, stealing the olives and a mobile phone belonging to one of the farmers.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Israeli army and colonists have carried out a total of 259 attacks against olive harvesters since the start of the season in the first week of October until October 28. These attacks included 63 cases of restricting the movement and intimidating olive harvesters this season, in addition to 44 cases of physical assault against farmers.
During the annual olive harvest season, Palestinian lands are subjected to repeated attacks by colonists and the Israeli army. Farmers constantly face assaults and violations that prevent them from accessing their lands, resulting in significant financial losses and exacerbating their daily suffering under occupation.
Since October 7, 2023, colonists have carried out a total of 7,154 attacks against Palestinian citizens and their property, resulting in the deaths of 33 Palestinians in the West Bank. According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, attacks by the Israeli occupation and colonists have also uprooted, destroyed, or damaged a total of 48,728 trees, including 37,237 olive trees.
