Riyadh: Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan held a meeting with China's Middle East envoy in Riyadh to deliberate on the recent developments affecting the region.
According to Anadolu Agency, the discussions centered around regional and international developments and their potential impacts, alongside efforts to bolster stability and security in the area.
This engagement comes amidst heightened tensions following a joint attack by Israel and the US on Iran on February 28, which reportedly resulted in the death of over 1,200 individuals, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, and left more than 10,000 injured. In response, Tehran launched missile and drone attacks against targets in Israel, Iraq, Jordan, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets.
