Riyadh: Saudi Arabia condemned today statements by an Israeli official who called for imposing sovereignty over West Bank territories in Palestine, saying it is an act that violates international legitimate resolutions.
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed in a statement the Kingdom's unwavering rejection of any attempts to expand colonies on Palestinian lands. It emphasized the importance of obliging Israeli authorities to adhere to international resolutions, reiterating Saudi Arabia's full support for the Palestinian people in regaining their legitimate rights.
The statement underscored Saudi Arabia's commitment to the Arab Peace Initiative and international resolutions, advocating for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital. This position remains firm and unshakeable, reflecting the Kingdom's dedication to peace and stability in the region.
