Moscow: The Russian presidency today extended its congratulations to Hussein Al-Sheikh on his appointment as Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and Deputy President of the State of Palestine. The congratulations were conveyed during a phone call received by Al-Sheikh from Mikhail Bogdanov, Russian Presidential Special Representative for the Middle East and Africa. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, during the call, Bogdanov emphasized the deep-rooted historical ties between the two countries and their peoples, wishing Al-Sheikh success in his new role.
