New york: Russia on Thursday condemned Israel's plan to fully occupy the Gaza Strip. Dmitry Polyanskiy, First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation Mission to the UN, stated that Moscow views Israel's plans as "a very bad step, in an absolutely wrong direction."
According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Polyanskiy expressed Russia's disapproval of Israel's intentions, emphasizing that such actions contradict United Nations resolutions on the Palestine-Israeli conflict. This condemnation was made clear during a press briefing at the UN headquarters in New York.
Polyanskiy reiterated Russia's stance, highlighting that the condemnation was consistent from the moment Israel's plans were announced. He emphasized that the proposed occupation runs counter to international efforts and decisions aimed at resolving the long-standing conflict between Palestine and Israel.
