Russia Calls for Lifting Restrictions on Entry of Humanitarian Aid into Gaza

Moscow: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Sunday stressed the need for Israel to remove all restrictions imposed on the entry of humanitarian and food aid into the Gaza Strip. Speaking at a press conference, Lavrov highlighted reports of breaches of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the necessity for Israel to lift these severe restrictions to facilitate the entry and distribution of humanitarian assistance in the region. He pointed out that the situation in Gaza remains precarious.

According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Lavrov's comments come amid ongoing concerns about the humanitarian situation in Gaza. The restrictions on aid have been a central issue, with many international organizations calling for unhindered access to deliver essential supplies to the affected population. The call from Russia aligns with broader international appeals for action to alleviate the humanitarian crisis in the enclave.
