Rights Group Alleges Evidence of Torture and Extrajudicial Executions in Gaza

Gaza: The International Institution for Solidarity with Palestinian Prisoners (Tadamun) has alleged that images of Palestinian bodies, handed over by the International Committee of the Red Cross to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, serve as clear evidence of torture and extrajudicial executions committed by the Israeli army during the conflict in Gaza. According to Palestine News and Information Agency - WAFA, Tadamun explained that the bodies displayed in the images bore signs of shackling, torture, burns, mutilation, and gunshot wounds to the head and chest. These indicators suggest extrajudicial executions and represent a violation of international laws, including the Fourth Geneva Convention and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. Tadamun further noted that this evidence aligns with reports from Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR). These organizations have documented a pattern of torture, enforced disappearance, a nd deliberate killings of Palestinian detainees in Israeli detention facilities such as Sde Teiman, Etzion, and Ramla. The organization has called for an urgent, independent international investigation under UN supervision to hold Israeli leaders accountable. Tadamun also emphasized the need for international human rights organizations to have unrestricted access to Israeli detention centers. In its concluding statement, Tadamun stressed that these images are not isolated incidents but indicative of a systematic policy of slow execution and extrajudicial killing. The organization urged immediate international action to protect Palestinian detainees and halt ongoing Israeli actions against them.
